Afterburner for iOS and Android

We answer within two working days, New Zealand time. If you are reporting a fault, tell us your phone model, the app version from the Settings screen, your heater controller model and firmware version, and what the app showed when it went wrong. That usually saves a round trip.
Common questions
The app cannot find my heater
Check that your phone and the heater controller are on the same network, and that the controller has power and is showing a connection. If you have just changed router, Wi-Fi name or password, the controller needs its network details set again. Restarting the controller clears most one-off connection problems.
Readings have frozen
A frozen display usually means the connection has dropped rather than the heater stopping. Pull down to refresh. If the readings are still stale, close and reopen the app. Do not assume the heater is off because the app says so — check it physically.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by the store, not by us, so they are managed there.
- iPhone or iPad: Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Android: Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions.
Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
I paid but the app still says trial
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases. That asks the store to re-check your entitlement. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you bought with. If it still will not unlock, email us with the date of purchase.
I have a new phone
Install the app and sign in with Apple or Google as you did before — the same Apple ID or Google account. Your heater setup and subscription come across. There is no separate password to remember, because we never issued you one.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings in the app and choose Delete account. This removes your account record and revokes your heater credentials within 30 days. It does not cancel your subscription — do that separately in your store settings, or you will keep being billed.
If you cannot get into the app, email us and we will delete it for you.
What data does the app collect?
An account identifier from Apple or Google, an email address if you chose to share one, and your subscription status. Your heater's readings pass through in real time and are not stored. No location, no advertising, no tracking. The privacy policy sets out the detail.
A word on safety
Afterburner is not a safety device. Fit a working carbon monoxide alarm in any space heated by a combustion heater, and do not rely on the app to tell you a heater is safe or has shut down.
